As a senior, and my fourth year as a high school student journalist, I decided I wanted to grow more knowledgeable in other areas of journalism besides broadcast. This is when I decided to join our school newspaper publication, The Triangle.
​Very few individuals receive the opportunity to attend the inaugural parade, let alone participate in it. In this story, Nya Croft shares her views of the Inaugural Parade atmosphere from her participation in the parade in 2016. On January 6th, 2021, rioters stormed the Capitol building in response to stop the final counting of votes. In this situation, the security measures for the country were tested and presented a concern for the inaugural ceremony for weeks to come. Columbus North government teacher, Daniel Marsh discusses his views on the concerns with the lack of security during the riots. As well as, how this will change the outlook of future inaugurations.

The baby blue sky casts over the forest green trees. In the distance, the net where Columbus North Soccer has scored many goals before stands in the background. It is here that Sophomore Jenna Lang snaps the photo that will announce her verbal commitment to the University of Michigan. Grinning ear to ear, her fingers point towards the bold navy letters in the center of her shirt. With the click of the camera, her commitment is official.

Scientific Murder Mystery
Amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, social distancing has become the new norm, making it harder to connect with others. A new murder mystery game titled “Among Us”, however, appears to be a solution to the lack of social interaction, and it is quickly rising in popularity. This CLUE spinoff has a space-themed setting, in which players transform into different multi-colored avatars that are assigned one of two jobs: crewmate or the imposter. As a crewmate, the object of the game is to complete the tasks before the imposter sabotages and potentially kills you. The game, overall, tests the loyalty of the crewmembers, as they work together to decipher who the imposter is.
